They failed to follow that up as they lost 122-112 in Indiana in the In-Season Tournament, but they have not tasted defeat since then.
Boston returned home to beat New York 133-123, and they followed up that victory with back-to-back wins over Cleveland, beating the Cavaliers 120-113 and 116-107.
The Celtics then took their win streak to five games with a couple of home wins against Orlando, 128-111 and 114-97.
Golden State Warriors Form
Golden State come into this game having won their last two to improve their record to 11-14.
The Warriors struggled throughout the second half of November and that struggle has continued into December.
They beat Portland 110-106 at home on December 6, but failed to build on that as they then went on a three-game losing skid.
Golden State were beaten 138-136 in overtime at Oklahoma City, before heading to Phoenix for a 119-116 loss and Los Angeles for a 121-113 defeat to the Clippers.
The Warriors stopped the skid with a 124-120 victory over Brooklyn though, and they were able to back that up on Sunday night as they won 118-114 in Portland.
Verdict
Boston have made a strong start to the season, while Golden State have been a disappointment.
