Head To Head

  • Miami Heat lead the all-time series 88-69
  • Atlanta Hawks won 89-86 when the two teams last met on February 24

Atlanta Hawks Form

Atlanta head to Miami having snapped a three-game losing skid with Monday night’s home win over the Heat.

The Hawks endured a miserable run in late January that saw them lose eight straight games, but they rallied in early February.

They stopped the rot with a 132-130 victory in Detroit, and then responded to a 126-125 loss to San Antonio by beating Milwaukee 115-110, Washington 125-111 and Orlando 112-106.

Atlanta failed to make it four-in-a-row before the All-Star break as they lost 149-148 in overtime in New York, and when they returned to action they lost 114-108 to Orlando and 148-142 to Detroit.

The Hawks avoided a fourth straight loss on Monday night though, as they took down Miami at home, 98-86.

Miami Heat Form

Miami return home on a miserable run of form, having now lost six of their last seven matchups.

The Heat won two of their first three games in February, only to then see their form nose-dive with four consecutive defeats before the All-Star break.

They produced two of their worst offensive displays of the season as they lost 102-86 in Brooklyn and 103-85 at home to Boston.

Miami then went back out on the road to suffer defeats at Oklahoma City, 115-101, and Dallas, 119-113.

The Heat did make a winning return last week, beating Toronto 120-111 in overtime, only to quickly to return to losing ways with a 120-113 defeat in Milwaukee and 98-86 loss at Miami.
