Kevin Holland Form
Kevin Holland is an unranked welterweight fighter with a professional record of 25-10 (14 KOs, 7 Subs) with 1 No Contest.
Holland debuted in the UFC back in August 2018 and quickly recovered from losing his debut fight by winning three straight, and he then responded to another loss with five consecutive wins in 2020.
All five of those victories came by KO/TKO as he knocked out Anthony Hernandez, Joaquin Buckley, Darren Stewart, Charlie Ontiveros and Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza.
Holland’s win over Souza helped him tie a UFC record for most wins in a calendar year at five victories.
The 31-year-old American’s streak was ended in early 2021 though as he suffered back-to-back decision defeats to Derek Brunson and Marvin Vettori.
He then went to a No Contest with Kyle Daukaus before finally getting back on track in 2022 with a second-round TKO win over Alex Oliveira and a second-round submission of Tim Means.
Holland ended the year with back-to-back defeats as he was submitted by Khamzat Chimaev and saw his corner withdraw him from a fight with Stephen Thompson after four rounds.
He rebounded in 2023 with a third-round knockout of Santiago Ponzinibbio and a first-round submission of Michael Chiesa, but a third straight win eluded him as he dropped a split decision to Jack Della Maddalena.
Michael Venom Page Form
Michael Venom Page is a former Bellator welterweight title contender with a professional record of 21-2 (13 KOs, 3 Subs).
Page debuted in Bellator MMA in March 2013 and made an immediate impact as he won 10 straight fights to climb the ladder.
That run included an infamous second-round knockout win against Evangelista Santos which saw ‘Cyborg’ suffer a fractured skill from a flying knee, as well as a decision success against domestic rival Paul Daley.
That secured a welterweight title shot for Page, but he came up short on the night as he was knocked out in the second round by Douglas Lima for the first defeat of his career.
MVP responded with first-round knockouts of Richael Kiely and Giovannie Melillo, before taking out Shinsho Anzai with strikes in the second round.
He then bested Ross Houston on points and stopped Derek Anderson in one round to set up a rematch with Lima, who was no longer champion.
Page had his hand raised on this occasion, winning by split decision, and earned another shot at the 170lb crown in the process.
He again came up short, losing to Logan Storley via split decision, but he did rebound a year ago with a first-round knockout of Goiti Yamauchi.
Verdict
This is a tough assignment for Michael Venom Page, but we are backing him to be victorious.
He is an incredibly accurate striker who is hard to hit, and if he can avoid being taken down he is capable of picking apart Kevin Holland in the stand-up.
