Aldo’s career went into freefall following his 13-second knockout loss to Conor McGregor back in 2015.

He beat Marlon Vera in December 2020, Pedro Munhoz in August 2021 and Rob Font in December 2021.
Those victories took Aldo into the top five of the bantamweight division, and he now possesses professional record to 31-7.

Merab Dvalishvili is riding a seven-fight win streak heading into the biggest fight of his career to date.
Dvalishvili made a disappointing start to his UFC career after signing with the company in 2017.
He dropped a split decision in his debut fight against Frankie Saenz, and was then submitted by Ricky Simon in his sophomore outing.
The 31-year-old Georgian has not lost a fight since though.
Dvalishvili registered his first UFC win when he bested Terrion Ware via unanimous decision in September 2018, and that sparked a seven0fight win streak.
‘The Machine’ backed up his first UFC win with a decision success against Brad Katone in his only outing of 2019.
He then earned the nod from the judges in three bouts in 2020, beating Casey Kenny, Gustavo Lopez and John Dodson.
Dvalishvili’s rise then continued last year as he beat Cody Stamann by decision, and before the end of 2021 he finally notched his first UFC stoppage win, beating Marlon Moraes by TKO.
That improved his professional record to 14-4.
