Islam Makhachev has rebounded from his first career defeat to storm up the lightweight ladder.
Makhachev was knocked out by Adriano Martins in the first round in October 2015, but he has won nine straight since then.
He rebounded from the loss with decision wins over Chris Wade and Nik Lentz, before registering a rare knockout win at the expense of Gleison Tibau.
The 30-year-old Russian then submitted Kajan Johnson in the first round before besting Arman Tsarukyan and Davi Ramos over three rounds.
Makhachev then fought three times in 2021 and was able to submit all three of his opponents.
He tapped out Drew Dober in the first round, Thiago Moises in the fourth round and then took just 145 seconds to beat Dan Hooker.
That win over Hooker left Makhachev with a 21-1 professional record, with 10 wins coming via submission and three by knockout.
Bobby Green Form
Bobby Green is stepping in as a late replacement after injury forced Beneil Dariush to withdraw.
Green goes into this fight with a mixed record having gone 6-7-1 in his last 14 fights under the UFC banner.
He enjoyed his best run of form in several years when he won three straight fights in 2020.
The 35-year-old American went the distance in all three fights as he beat Clay Guida, Lando Vannata and Alab Patrick by decision.
Green’s win streak was halted by a decision loss to Thiago Moises before the end of that year and then lost by decision to Rafael Fiziev in his first bout of 2021.
He rebounded before the end of the year with a first-round knockout of Al Iaquinta.
Green then bested Nasrat Haqparast by decision in February to improve his record to 29-12-1, with 10 wins coming by knockout and eight by submission.
Of his 12 career losses, Green has been knocked out twice and submitted twice.
