Head To Head

  • Chris Curtis won by second-round TKO when the two men fought in December 2021

Brendan Allen Form

Brendan Allen is the #6 ranked middleweight fighter with a record of 23-5 (5 KOs, 14 Subs).

Allen debuted in the UFC in 2020 and won his first couple of fights before suffering a TKO loss at the hands of Sean Strickland.

He rebounded with a first-round submission of Karl Roberson and a decision victory over Punahele Soriano, only to see his good run end with a second-round TKO loss to Chris Curtis.

‘All In’ has not lost since though, reeling off six consecutive wins to climb the middleweight ladder.

Allen got back to winning ways by tapping out Sam Alvey in the second round, and then bested Jacob Malkoun on points.

The 28-year-old then submitted Krzysztof Jotko in the first round to start a string of four straight submission successes.

Allen has stopped Andre Muniz in the third round, Bruno Silva in the first round and Paul Craig in the third.

Chris Curtis Form

Chris Curtis is the #14 ranked middleweight contender with a professional record of 31-10 (17 KOs, 1 Sub) with 1 No Contest.

Curtis made his UFC debut in November 2021 and got off to a strong start by winning his first three fights.

He knocked out Phil Hawks in the first round and then stopped Brendan Allen with strikes in the second, before claiming a unanimous decision win over Rodolfo Vieira.

‘The Action Man’ has not managed to string together wins since then though, going 2-2 with 1 No Contest in his last five fights.

Curtis suffered his first UFC defeat in July 2022 when he dropped a decision to Jack Hermansson, only to rebound with a second-round knockout of Joaquin Buckley.

The 36-year-old American failed to build on that as he then lost on points to Kelvin Gastelum, before seeing his fight with Nassourdine Imavov end in a No Contest due to an accidental clash of heads.

Curtis returned to winning ways in his first fight of 2024 though, edging Marc-Andre Barriault by split decision in January.

Verdict

Chris Curtis took the honors the first time around, but we are not expecting repeat scenes.

Brendan Allen has been on a tear and is backed to showcase his submission skills once again as he gets his revenge.
