The A’s hosted Houston in their first series of the week and won the first two meetings with the Astros, 4-0 and 8-2, before losing the final encounter 8-1.

Los Angeles return home on a four-game win streak after sweeping Seattle on the road earlier this week.
The Angels’ stacked up a bunch of losses during late June and early July, but they went into the All-Star break on a positive note.
They hosted Seattle in a three-game series and were able to sweep the Mariners thanks to 6-5, 2-1 and 3-2 victories.
Los Angeles failed to build on that when they returned to action, losing 13-3 and 8-5 in Oakland, but they rebounded to take the final game 8-5, sparking a four-game winning run.
The Angels moved on to Seattle and once again got the better of their hosts, recording 3-1, 5-1 and 2-1 wins to complete another series sweep of the Mariners.
Verdict
Los Angeles have been in good form since the All-Star break and are backed to take advantage of Oakland's 'travel sickness'.
