Los Angeles head out on the road boasting a perfect record, having won their first nine games of the season.
The Dodgers opened up the campaign in Japan and made it a successful trip as they swept the Chicago Cubs in a two-game series, winning 4-1 and 6-3.
The defending champions then returned home and won seven straight home games as they swept both Detroit and Atlanta.
Los Angeles edged the Tigers 5-4 in their home opener, and backed that up with 8-5 and 7-3 victories.
The Dodgers then kicked off the series with the Braves with a 5-1 victory, before taking their record to 9-0 with 3-1 and 6-5 successes.
Philadelphia Phillies Form
Philadelphia went into Thursday’s game against Colorado having made a strong start to the regular season.
The Phillies opened up on the road and were firing offensively as they downed Washington on back-to-back nights, 7-3 and 11-6.
They missed out on a series sweep of the Nationals though, as they lost the final matchup in the series, 5-1.
Philadelphia put that loss behind them in their home opener however, as they made light work of Colorado in a 6-1 victory.
The Phillies then made it back-to-back victories over the Rockies and took their record to 4-1 with a 5-1 win in the second meeting.
