New York rebounded on the road though as they wrapped up the series with 3-2 and 3-1 victories in Kansas City.
The Yankees then got off to a fast start in the series with Cleveland reeling off 5-2 and 6-3 wins at home, only to then lose their first road game of the series, 7-5.
They again rebounded emphatically from a defeat though, this time winning 8-6 and 5-2 in Cleveland to seal their place in the World Series.
Verdict
The Dodgers hitters are capable of making life miserable for Luis Gil, who lacks postseason experience and struggled in his only previous playoff outing.
