Baltimore came into this series on the back of a loss, ending a four-game win streak that came in reply to a five-game skid.
The Orioles began the second half of June with four wins in five games, but saw their form collapse in Houston.
They were beaten 14-11, 5-1 and 8-1 as they were swept by the Astros, and they then returned home for 3-2 and 10-8 losses to Cleveland.
Baltimore avoided being swept by the Guardians as they took the final meeting 4-2, and they backed that up by then reeling off three straight wins over Texas.
The Orioles beat the Rangers 11-2, 2-1 and 6-5, but missed out on the series sweep as they dropped the fourth encounter, 11-2.
Seattle Mariners Form
Seattle entered this series on the back of a couple of defeats and having now lost eight of their previous 11 games.
The Mariners’ slump in form started when they suffered an 8-0 defeat in Cleveland, ending a four-game win streak.
They then lost 6-3 to the Guardians, before heading to Miami where they sandwiched a 9-0 win over the Marlins with 3-2 and 6-4 losses.
Seattle moved on to Tampa Bay after that and lost 4-3 and 11-3 to the Rays, but they avoided being swept as they won the final meeting 5-2.
The Mariners followed that up with a 3-2 home victory over Minnesota, only to then lose 5-1 and 5-3 to the Twins.
Verdict
Seattle's recent issues against right-handed pitchers spells trouble against Grayson Rodriguez, who is backed to lead Baltimore to victory.
