Saskatchewan head to the defending champions looking to continue an excellent start to the season that has seen them win five of their first six games.
The Roughriders won just six games last season, meaning they are now only one victory away from matching that total with 12 games to play.
They kicked off the season with back-to-back road games and beat Edmonton 29-21 and Hamilton 33-30.
Saskatchewan then played their next two games at home either side of the bye week, downing the Tiger-Cats again, 36-20, before knocking off Toronto, 30-23.
The Roughriders failed to make it to 5-0 as they were beaten 35-20 at the BC Lions, but they issued an immediate response last weekend as they beat Winnipeg 19-9 at home.
Montreal Alouettes Form
Montreal emerge from their first bye week of the season looking to rebound from a loss that left them 5-1.
The defending Grey Cup champions opened the season with a rematch from last year’s final and they repeated that victory over Winnipeg, this time beating the Blue Bombers 27-12.
They backed that up on the road a week later by winning 23-20 in Edmonton, before returning home to down Ottawa 47-21.
Montreal kept the wins coming as they then won 30-20 in Toronto and 30-26 at home to Calgary, but they failed to make it to 5-0 before the bye week.
The Alouettes suffered their first defeat of the 2024 campaign as they were beaten 37-18 at home by Toronto.
Verdict
Montreal’s loss last week was a shocker, but nobody in the camp will be panicking.
