Jake Paul vs Mike Perry Preview & Picks

Jake Paul is backed to beat bare-knuckle fighter Mike Perry via knockout.

Paul has a size and power advantage, and he also has much more experience in the boxing ring.

We expect him to play safe for the first few rounds, before beating up and stopping on a tiring Perry.

  • Jake Paul has a 9-1 professional record
  • 6 of Jake Paul’s 9 career wins have been via KO/TKO
  • Mike Perry has not competed in a traditional boxing match since 2015
  • Mike Perry is 0-1 (1 KO) as a professional boxer

Jake Paul Form

Jake Paul enters this fight on a three-fight win streak that has improved his career record to 9-1 (6 KOs).

Paul debuted in 2020 and beat a couple of opponents with no previous history in any form of combat sports.

He then knocked out former UFC fighter Ben Askren inside two minutes, before winning back-to-back fights against ex-UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.

‘The Problem Child’ beat Woodley via split decision in their first meeting, and then won the rematch via sixth-round KO.

Paul then bested MMA legend Anderson Silva over eight rounds, before finally suffering his first defeat in February 2023.

He dropped a split decision to Tommy Fury, but rebounded that summer with a unanimous decision win over Nate Diaz.

The 27-year-old ended the year by stopping Andre August in the first round, and he began 2024 by knocking out Ryan Bourland in the first round.

Mike Perry Form

Mike Perry is a former mixed martial artist who currently competes in bare knuckle boxing.

Perry compiled a 14-8 (11 KOs) record in MMA, can called time on his career as he lost seven of his final 10 fights for the UFC.

His final outing for the premier MMA promotion came in April 2021 when he dropped a decision to Daniel Rodriguez.

‘Platinum’ moved over to bare knuckle boxing after that and has compiled a perfect 5-0 record while fighting for BKFC.

Perry beat Julian Lane and Michael Venom Page via decision, before scoring his first stoppage win when he knocked out Luke Rockhold in April 2023.

He backed that up by stopping Eddie Alvarez in the second round of their fight last December, and then made it 5-0 with a one-minute knockout of Thiago Alves back in April.

The 32-year-old American now crosses over to boxing and he does have one previous professional boxing match on his record.

Perry faced Kenneth McNeil back in March 2015 and was knocked out in the fourth round of that fight.

Verdict

Mike Perry will come out all guns blazing so Jake Paul needs to stay of trouble early and let ‘Platinum’ punch himself out.

If he does that successfully, we expect Paul to finish Perry in the second half of the contest.
